Entry Level/Junior IT System Analyst / Analyst IT-Business Analyst / Functional Analyst

For a multinational bank and insurance corporation, we are recruiting a junior IT application engineer / ingenieur d'etude to map business processes and flows, evaluate existing processes, map as-is / to-be situation into data models. You will also participate to improve the user friendliness and functionalities of the application. You will be part of the requirement management team, where you interface with business users of the system and the software developers who program. You main be assigned to different projects with in the IT department which support different businesses (retail insurance, corporate, life insurance, CRM/DWH/BI, ebusiness, web services).

•Participates to meetings with business stakeholders to gather requirements, challenges business needs and recommends functional solutions
•Designs data models matching the business processes
•conducts meetings with technical stakeholders to gather and understand technical constraints, document and map the users needs into use cases (UML), design interfaces and new functionalities
-analyse new interfaces and the impact they could have on the existing application architecture
.challenge existing solutions and recommend implementations
•Communicates functional needs to development team and coordinates the business users for user acceptance testing and ensuring the test plan is followed
•Pro-actively proposes business processes improvements
•Is able to explain technical matters to a variety of audiences and participate in meetings to be absolutely sure that the end users are understood in their software application needs.

•Assertive with effective communication skills.
•Fluent in French or Dutch plus good command of English

Required Skills

Requirements:
fluent in French/English, Dutch is a great attribute.
Masters degree in physics, math, computer science or commercial engineer or similar
UML theoretical knowledge is nice to have
Other nice to have: agile methods, lifecycle software development, Visio or Mega modeling tools, user stories
Motivation to develop a career in software engineering in the banking/insurance domain
